Former North Platte railroad man is dead
Albert Hamilton 69 longtime Union Pacific Colorado division main agent died at Mercy hospital after a serious operation. Born in Iowa he worked 30 years in railroading including 20 with Rock Island and moved to Denver in 1918 from Ogden. He married Lulu Ross of North Platte in 1886 and is survived by his wife three daughters a mother and a sister in Kansas City. Funeral Friday at Yeager mortuary.

Scout Officers Elected At Franklin Council Meeting
Franklin council of the Scouts of America held its annual meeting last night. Officers were elected and reports showed growth from June 1 to January 1 with tenderfoot scouts rising from 2 to 106, second class from 8 to 31, first class from 0 to 8, total scouts 145 from 60. Treasurer M E Scott reported debts will be paid as pledges are collected. Officers elected: E E Carr president, M B Crosby first VP, W J Hendy second VP, R D Birge third VP, W J Maloney fourth VP, Rev Hi P Stevens fifth VP, M E B Scott treasurer, C J Hollman Scout commissioner.
