Lincoln County War Service Totals And Staff Changes
Lincoln County has contributed about 496 men to national service with 22 more to be added soon. Since December 16 additional calls brought 301, plus 101 prior, and 25 released to navy. Estimates include 50 in Company E and at least 20 under or over age. Major White leaves for Los Angeles to join the medical reserve corps. A Swedish Lutheran meeting is set for Monday at 8 PM.

Bapaume Captured by Allied Forces
Bapaume fell to Field Marshal Hale’s troops yesterday, delivering another blow to German defenses. Allied forces cut rail links into the town from the east, north, and south as German resistance collapsed. Ruth Elder departed earlier this week to visit friends in Kearney. Mrs. Win.
