Howard pleads guilty in manslaughter case
John Howard shot and killed Floyd Walker known as Silver King in a Birdwood bunk house in June. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter before Judge Grimes and received an indeterminate sentence of one to ten years in state prison. Howard and Walker were Union Pacific section hands. Howard fled but was captured nearby. He faces transfer to Lincoln in a few days.
