Joseph Jessup returns from Keratone business trip while Dr. Marie Ames leaves for Kearney to visit friends. Multiple residents take new jobs, travel, or attend events. local shops advertise clothing and services. community groups plan gatherings at the K P hall and with the Eldwen club. Notables include Aileen Gantt and Wm Heyse visiting Brady and Huntsville Utah respectively.
Keith Theatre announces show of Hroncho riding rope throwing and frontier action in Pendleton Oregon on Wednesday September 1 with afternoon and evening programs. Presbyterian services next Sunday August 20 feature Rev George F McDougall of Bridgeport Nebraska at the Presbyterian church urging all members and friends to attend both morning and evening services.
Fire Eaters at the Lincoln County Fair feature Mr Pyrene the famed performer. The note invites audiences to watch a dramatic fire eating display while detailing sensational hazard and insurance savings offered at the Birge Booth.
A Frontier county resident reports oil prospecting leases along Medicine Creek near the Lincoln county line. Ground near the creek supposedly yields oil after shallow digging and water rises with a skim of oil. Frontier leases run one year with possible extension. no Lincoln county leases yet. Mrs Hartman is recovering from a right knee fracture after a fall near Sixth Street during a stormy night. Rev and Mrs Cram helped her home and doctors set the fracture within an hour.

The Episcopal church baseball team defeated the Catholic team eight to four to win the church league pennant and finish the season undefeated at 10 00. The game drew about 400 spectators and featured players Guy Swope and Jack Stack. Plans were discussed to form an all star church league team for charity games and fund raising.
The Rifle Club reported scores from Wednesday morning with a perfect fifty and multiple scorers at 400, 200, and 600 yard marks. Members listed include K M Sturvesant, Herbert Bergstrom, G D Jackson, Ray Welborn, Paul Gantt, Chas Temple, and others. Local residents Mrs Jake Mang and Mrs L F P Jopson left for western trips, while A J Davie and son visited from Weldon Indiana and Ray Tighe planned a trip to Lewellen.
Mrs Wilerton and her two daughters from Curtis visited Grover Wilerton and wife for a week or longer. Mr and Mrs J W Lianham of Stromsburg arrived Wednesday evening to visit their daughter Mrs Lemuel Toole for a couple of weeks.
