Former North Platte Boy Killed in Action
James Simpcon Hodges, a 1912 1913 North Platte High School alumnus and Marine in France, was killed July 3 at Chateau Thierry. Relatives learned from a government card received by his aunt Mrs. Peter Stryker of Overton. Hodges had lived with relatives in Overton and later Milwaukee before enlisting.
