Great Pisins Co operative and Agronomy convention to visit city
A major convention of agricultural experts will meet in the city Wednesday through Friday next week. The Great Pisins Co operative Association and the American Society of Agronomy bring noted agronomists from across the country, including Washington department staff. Sessions occur in the federal building court room with a Chamber of Commerce committee arranging hospitality, transportation to the state farm, a smoker at the Elkes home, and hotel accommodations. Boy Shot in Leg During Accidental Firearm Incident
The son of Mr and Mrs Thus McGovern was accidentally shot in the right leg above the knee yesterday afternoon while handling a .22 caliber gun. A shell jammed and when discharged the bullet struck the inner leg, circled the bone and exited, causing a painful but not dangerous wound.
