Wrecking outfit and carloads move to North Platte work sites
The morning wrecking crew removed trucks from bank cars at Hershey and Roscoe. A carload of machinery for the electric plant arrived and was unloaded at Front street. T. M. Cohagen handled five carloads of peaches this season with more due soon. Oklahoma watermelons were sent to Cohagen for local sale. A caboose and several cars were wrecked in a collision at tee houses. The Royal Girls of the Methodist church will host refreshments at the Kandy Kitchen next Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Adamy plan to move to a Stapleton area farm. New baseball uniforms arrived and were used in a Sunday game. Lost French briar pipe reported at the ball game. In county court Wim Bell fined ten dollars. John Griffith bonded to keep the peace after a gun dispute.
