Next week eleven Lincoln county young men who enlisted for special work will be sent to their schools the following week four colored men depart for Camp Pike and three for Logan Utah for mechanical instruction August 14 eight boys go to Rahe automobile school in Kaneda City for auto tech training August 16 three boys to the state university at Lincon for training the four colored men to Camp Pike August 22 the Utah trip date not yet set nine signed for Utah but only three called now

Exemption Denials Prompt Physical Examinations Next Week
In Lincoln County the 1918 class registrants sought agricultural exemption. Of 55 claimants, 43 were denied by the district board, leaving 12 granted. Those 43 denied will now be summoned for physical examinations next week by the local board.

Ley Eddy Former North Platte Boy Killed in France
Mrs Mary Eddy of this city learned that her son Leo Eddy about twenty five was killed in action in France. He had studied in Denver and Chicago, joined the infantry, served in France three or four months, and died while in a sharpshooter brigade. The Eddy family had North Platte residences over the years and the father Charles Eddy worked for the Union Pacific.

Five year old Marjorid Snyder daughter of Mr and Mrs W P Snyder of the State Experimental Farm died yesterday afternoon at four o clock from intestinal poisoning after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements were not announced. Fr W Rincker is in Omaha today on church business and left for the city last night.
