First Aircraft Arrives In North Platte From Lincoln
The first airplane to reach North Platte under its own power landed noon yesterday from Lincoln with two government air service pilots F I Stoniger and H E Gleason. They planned to stay over Sunday and offered 15 minute rides at 15 dollars with five trips made that afternoon. Passengers included Guy Swope Perry Carson Dr W T Pritchard Matt Slias and Andy Scharmann.

J R Goodman observed a car standing in the alley Wednesday night with a man at the wheel. He asked if trouble, the man said he was waiting for a partner. A second man fled from the dark side of the house as Mrs Goodman reached the steps. The plan appeared to be a break in.

Drowning of Frank Gessel at Scott pool shockes town
Frank Gessel twenty eight a locomotive fireman drowned yesterday afternoon at the Scott swimming pool near the south river bridge. Despite expert swimming and attempts to revive him after cramps and struggle his body was recovered within minutes and despite the electrocardiograph and physician Dr Kerr no resuscitation succeeded. Gessel recently returned from army service and was highly regarded by neighbors and relatives including Mrs A W McKeown.

Robbery at Union Pacific Car Reported Near Roundhouse
A Union Pacific car near the old roundhouse was broken into yesterday afternoon. Clothes a valise and other items were taken. The theft was not discovered for hours after the incident and the thief fled.
