Sweet Clover Harvest Under Way In Platte Valley
The North Platte Sweet Clover Seed Co led by Thos. Orton and C. O. Weing harvested starting Saturday on several thousand acres in the Platte Valley north and south of the rivers. They use a large outfit with a tractor engine pulling three binders and ten mowing machines, employing fifteen to twenty men. Leypoldt & Wickstrom of Hershey also plan to harvest a major area with past shipments of seed bringing around twelve dollars per bushel. Demand runs strong in the middle west and east for forage use, with Platte Valley shipments expected to surpass fifty thousand dollars in value.

Change in Postoffice Inspectors in Nebraska Districts

Independents Drop Third Game to Ogallala

Mrs Lena Teel Dies of Heart Trouble at Hitchcock Farm
Mrs. Lena Teel, wife of Delbert O Teel, died suddenly at 9 30 p m Saturday at their Hitchcock county farm from heart trouble. She leaves two sons aged five and eight and a grieving husband. Funeral services will be held at the Klein residence on West Seventh Street with the Rebekahs conducting. Mrs Teel formerly lived in North Platte and worked for The Tribune before marrying nine years ago. Her sister Mrs Mary Eder and others departed for Hitchcock county after the death notice reached them.
