Not Much Show for Water in North Platte Ditch Fight
Supt Wickstrom of the North Platte ditch returns from Scotts Bluffs reporting drought and water theft fears. He says ditches in the region ignore state board orders, with some full and others partially filled. State militia may be needed to enforce rights, as crops especially sugar beets risk withholdings. Water delivery is uncertain for five to six days, dependent on rain.
