Easter observances brighten damp Easter Day services
Easter Sunday brought overcast skies and rain, but church interiors overflowed with flowers and music. Congregations at Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopal and St. Patrick’s churches enjoyed significant services, with confirmations, baptisms, communions, and Easter offerings for missions. The day featured large crowds, notable sermons, and a 102 dollar mission collection, plus a 90 dollar youth festival offering.

Engineers' Excursion Train Through Town
The New York Central Engineers excursion train passed at 12:30 Friday. It began March 20 in New York and visited Cleveland Cincinnati New Orleans San Antonio El Paso Los Angeles San Francisco Salt Lake City Omaha and other Colorado places. They change engines here and many engineers alighted to greet local staff and praised Union Pacific runs.

J M Dwyer left for Iowa to buy a registered Hereford bull. Rh FP Seeberger did business in Denver last week. Archie Anderson and mother visited Nichols and Hershey on business. Grant Dowhower bought a new top buggy from W H Hill of Hershey.
