James Chambers, Civil War Veteran, Dies at 75
James Chambers died at his home in northwest town Wednesday night after a year long illness from complications of diseases. The Civil War veteran, about seventy five, leaves a wife and several grown children. He lived on a farm northeast of town before moving to North Platte over fifteen years ago.
