City Notes and School Track Meet At Fair Grounds
Judge Woodhurst issued eleven marriage licenses in the past month. March 1920 saw twenty four licenses, and March 1920 also twenty. High school boys hold inter class track and field meet at the fair grounds after school. J F F club held a meeting at Mrs Will Collings home planning a bazaar and supper. Methodist Men plan April 10 meeting at 6 30 pm with Ladies Aid preparing the program. Lawrence Enaminger and Noel Buallock returned from Grand Island by plane in 2 1/2 hours. The board of education reelected teachers and adopted a new salary schedule. County officials visit Tryon to inspect the North Platte Tryon road for needed improvements. A surprise farewell party with roller skating and dancing will be held at Diedrichs hall.
Labor ticket sweeps city council race in four wards
Four candidates endorsed by the Central Labor Union were elected in the city council contest. In Ward One Smallwood defeated Cantiin, Ward Two Murphy beat Coates, Ward Three Diener faced no opposition, and Ward Four Owens defeated Leininger and Woodgate. A larger-than-expected turnout accompanied local events and social notices through the week.

Yeomen Lodge to Initiate Rhadamanthus Degree in North Platte

North Attle paving bond election set for May
A special election on May 16 will decide issuing $60,000 in bonds to pave street intersections and spaces opposite alleys in North Attle. Property owners in the paving district pay for paving in front of their lots while the city covers square areas at intersections. Bonds must be authorized before any paving proceeds. Polls open at usual locations under annual conditions. Mrs J Flynn travels to Keystone to visit relatives for several days. The Kiletochee campfire plans to send Everygirl's Magazine to the City Library for one year. Mgrs C F Koch is guardian.

First Filing for Primary Election Made in 88th District
Davis, longtime state representative from this county, filed yesterday to be on the Republican primary ballot for state representative from the 88th district. The district includes North Platte’s four wards and Hinman precinct Hill, with local offices to be decided in July primaries.
