County Graduation Exercises at Knox in June
The Starke county common schools will hold their annual commencement Saturday in the Knox opera house at 1 15 p m. Prof J Walter Dunn of Indianapolis will deliver the principal address. Superintendent B E Rodgers leads preparations for a grand event with a full program including band music recitations and diploma presentations.

Pension Swell Under McCumber Act Affects 93000 Pensions
The McCumber service pension act has approved over 93,000 pensions. Since 330,000 applications filed, the bureau processes about 1,500 daily and estimates six months for clerical work. About 50,000 more applications are expected in the coming year. Pension dates back to receipt, benefiting early filers. 99 percent of applicants already drew pensions under prior laws.

Lights at Crossings and School Board Re‑election
The town board met at the town hall and ordered lights at railroad crossings after friction with the railroads. G B Corbitt was unanimously re elected to the board for another three year term, praised for his educational work and secretarial service.
