They called the house to lure them out and waited near the Stevens residence to strike as they returned home. Stevens was knocked down but not seriously hurt. The loot included a 0% carat diamond stud a 6 carat white diamond ring an 18 carat gold watch two 2 carat diamond earrings two solitaire diamond rings and a pink pearl the robbers also took back Mrs Stevens plain gold wedding ring.
