An explosion at the Edward Thompson steel works converting mill in Braddock Pennsylvania this morning burned eight workers with molten metal. The injured men suffered severe injuries and some may die. witnesses describe their agony and lack of relief.
The national convention of United Mine Workers opened at 10 o clock in the German House Indianapolis with over 100 delegates present this morning.
The Interstate Commerce Commission closed a Kansas City session probing Standard Oil and railways’ dealings with independent Kansas producers. It adjourned to reconvene later, possibly in Washington, and may call railroad and coal company executives to reveal records and ownership links. The panel hinted at possible lower fuel oil freights.
Vinita Oklahoma March 15 Marshal W H Darrough said reports of trouble with the Cherokee Indians were exaggerated He arrested fifteen full blood Indians on charges of harboring the Wickliffe boys and said a battle is expected but no uprising is likely The Wickliffes are at large and Byron Kirkpatrick leads the front with Darrough directing from Vinita Three men died and five were injured when the Odd Fellows hall collapsed in Jamestown Indiana the victims were Samuel Lewis George Scott and Charles Hedge

Stanton County Nebraska March 15 Special to The News Charles Draube a 240 acre Elkhorn Valley farmer and Stanton County old settler was found by the Stanton county board of insanity to be an inebriate. He was committed to the insane hospital for treatment after the hearing.
Mrs Flossie Waln of South Omaha admits involvement in the hold up and shooting of Conductor Flury and implicates her husband Cal Waln Harry Clark and Pinky Gathright all named as suspects Gathright also confesses saying Waln fired the shot and a cloth mask hid the crime
