Jesse R. K. Lamb was stricken with paralysis last Sunday evening affecting his right side and tongue. He had just returned from Louisville that morning and was reportedly improving. Joseph Miller, longtime county resident, died at his Newton area home four miles east of Newton Saturday afternoon around four o'clock after a cancer battle. funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at the house.
