A major blaze in Des Moines Tuesday morning destroyed the Harris, ery & Co store and damaged several other buildings. Discovered at 3 o'clock, the four story building and a $250,000 stock were reduced to ruins within an hour, with total losses around $386,000 including $260,000 insured.
