The Union Life Insurance Company of Omaha began under Nebraska law and marked its twelfth anniversary. Despite uncertain business conditions and a presidential campaign, the company shows a substantial surplus of 128,401.8 dollars for policyholders.
During the year 1896 the company reports a rise in premiums and receipts, interest income up over 40 percent, death claims below total receipts, and a net surplus up sharply.
