Prairie City Fourth Jubilee and Local News Notes
Prairie City celebrated with a large Fourth of July event in the park after rain delayed seating. Agnew's Des Moines band performed, a grand stand was decorated, Rev. Martin gave an ovation, and fireworks followed with a Union Hall dance later. Local residents traveled, visitors arrived, and a Monroe game ended tied 18 to 18.
