Alaska church to be replaced by modern edifice in Juneau
In Juneau the famous log cabin church, one of the town’s earliest miners homes, is to be abandoned for a modern building. Rev. Sheldon Jackson helped fund the purchase, and Rev. S. H. King served as pastor until 1893, with Rev. J. H. Condit appointed in 1896. The church now seats about thirty three members with a seventy strong Sunday school.
