Residents and visitors populate Newton notes
Geo Taylor visits the capital city while Jeaterday Perry Jack recovers and plans weekend time in Newton. Several locals travel to meet friends, attend convents or markets, with Miss Grace Axtell and Miss Lizzie Mobberly among those listed. The piece also mentions travels to San Francisco and Chicago, a funeral in Iowa, a church sociable, and a real estate sale advertised by Hill & Tarly featuring Ale Brown’s “paradise” property.
