Rathbone Sisters Vaudeville Show Delights Newton Audiences
A large Newton audience enjoyed the Rathbone Sisters vaudeville at the opera house last Friday. The farce The Hulking Bee drew roaring laughter, with standout acts from Chas Rinehart B A Miller and Reny Claussen. The cake walk led by J W Hunter topped the program, and notable performers included Miss Madge Stevens Clyde Meredith and Hessie Jackson.

Fire nearly destroys Dr Hunter home saved by girl
A fire at Dr A E Hunters North Street home was confined by Mise Rika Hjorthalm who woke, smothered flames in the bed, and rescued the family after an electrical fire began in Mrs Hunters room. Her hands burned but not permanently. Bedding and furnishings suffered major damage worth around two hundred dollars. The family returned from the Opera House around 10 pm.

Moving Tuk Record to New Location Near Square
The Tuk Record announces it will move this week to its own property half a block south of the square's southeast corner. The Arcox temporary office will be in the corner room of the Mershon block. Newton City Council appoints marshal and deputy and approves bonds
The Newton City Council met at City Hall with Mayor Long presiding. Bonds for the Mayor, Treasurer and Clerk were approved. A. K. Emerson was appointed to a special committee on a new well. T. R.
