Interesting Account of Visit to the Caves of the Ali Dwellers
Albert La recounts a visit with Chan Derbyshire to caves once inhabited by cliff dwellers near Pinos Altos New Mexico. The party rode nine hours through rough terrain, shared tamales with a Mexican guide, found ancient pottery and corn cobs, and noted vermilion-hued pictographs high on a cliff wall. The piece also mentions a twenty year anniversary celebration for Aupert Lark, and local social notes including the Dennis wedding anniversary and a death notice for Wm Richardson, a Civil War veteran.
