Eastalco seeks injunction to curb plant pickets

Eastalco Aluminum Corp. sought a temporary restraining order and injunction in Frederick Circuit Court to limit pickets at the Buckeystown plant. Judge Mary Ann Stepler declined the TRO citing ongoing talks and scheduled hearings next week. Union Local 7886 members were not present at the meeting. The filing accuses the United Steelworkers locals of unlawful acts since the Aug. 1 strike, including rocks thrown at Bastaleo vehicles and bottles smashed on the driveway.
