Tuition Charge Likely: County Students Attend Frederick Schools
Washington County may owe tuition to Frederick County for students attending schools there. Reports state Frederick has set tuition at 22 dollars per pupil per year, with many Weverton pupils at Brunswick. South Mountain marks the county line and several schools lie along the dividing ridge. Last year a Washington county school housed 16 Frederick pupils, with no tuition charged, a practice said to have never occurred before.
