Murder over a 10 cent tip shocks Lancaster hotel dining room
In Lancaster Pennsylvania September 29 waiter Tom Murdock aged about 38 was stabbed to death by fellow waiter Sam Stanton during a quarrel over a lost 10 cent tip. The attack occurred in Stevens Hall dining room of a local hotel with Murdock dying 15 minutes after the blade twist. Stanton fled and has not been captured. Murdock left a wife and child and had moved to Lancaster from Frederick Maryland about 13 years ago.
