Replicas of Loy's Station and Roddy Road Covered Bridges Displayed
Replicas built by Dennis Da Silva and Paul Barbot sit in Rogers Office Supply window at 110 North Market St as part of Preparation for the In The Street celebration on Saturday. Da Silva spent nine months crafting the models from salvaged original timbers, two hours daily, with six months on Loy's Station and three on Roddy Road. The dioramas honor local history, noting these bridges served the 11th Corps of the Union Army near Gettysburg and remain among Carroll County's three surviving covered bridges.
