The Frederick Community Chest will launch its fourteenth annual fund drive October 15 and run through October. Robert L. Smith president announced the goal of $32000, with Charles J. Taylor and Richard F. Thirty five city and county homemakers registered for the Kitchen School at the old Church street school conference room sponsored by Frederick County Homemakers clubs. Miss Beatrice Fehr opened the meeting at 10 o clock and presided over sessions. Miss Helen Irene Smith assisted with presentations and the extension slides News and Views of Maryland Kitchens. Demonstrators planned before and after kitchen illustrations with visual aids and slides, showing latest kitchen improvements. The program aimed to remodel kitchens cheaply while improving work flow and introducing new appliances.
