Accident cuts two utility poles on New Design Road
An accident on New Design Road near Md 94 knocked down two utility poles leaving parts of Frederick County without power for about four hours. Frank B R Hoy 34 of Frederick was listed in serious but stable condition at University Hospital Baltimore with head and chest injuries after his northbound vehicle veered off the road and struck Mt Olivet Cemetery fence. Power was largely restored by 7 p.m. Police also report a theft at the Great Frederick Fair as John G Politza 62 of Amusements of America claimed a money pouch was taken from his game booth by a black male.
