4-H stock sale at Frederick Pair features high prices
At the annual 4-H sale in Frederick, 106 beef, sheep, and swine were sold with premium averages. The Impala Steer raised by Christie Harshman sold for 75 cents a pound and was donated back. the Hereford steer fetched $2 a pound, weighing 856 pounds for a $1,700 total. Grand Champion steer brought $3.60 per pound to Pantry Pride, while the Grand Champion sheep sold for $6.05 per pound to Richard P. Brown.
