Fuel Oil For Home Use Is Cut 33 1 3 Per Cent
Washington Sept 25 Home fuel oil rationing in 30 Eastern and Middle Western States will be geared to an estimated overall average reduction of 33 1 3 per cent from normal consumption, instead of the 25 per cent earlier noted by the Office of Price Administration. OPA deputy administrator Paul M. O Leary said a 23 per cent cut would not suffice given the fuel shortage. He urged furnace conversions if possible and urged improving burner efficiency and proper home insulation.
