Funeral On Tuesday Of Late Chief Judge Urner
Funeral services for former Chief Judge Hammond Urner, a Frederick County leader, will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at Calvary Methodist Church. Burial in Mt Clivet Cemetery. Funeral home transfer today from Hotel Stafford, Baltimore, to his Frederick home, then to the church for viewing at 12:30 pm before services. The 74-year-old jurist died in his sleep, likely of a heart attack, after retirement in 1938 following 29 years as Chief Judge. He is survived by his wife and three sons, with a special Frederick County Bar Association meeting planned to draft resolutions.
