A special 1927 supplement invites Frederick residents to attend the Fashion and Business Show at the Armory on September 27. The event, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, aims to boost local commerce and pride, with proceeds supporting Underprivileged Child Activities and charitable causes.
The Frederick Advertising and Display Co introduces a varied sign display from plain metal to raised glass electric signs. Sixty nine sign colors, complete sign hardware, sketches, and designs underscore a showcase of sand and glass materials. Booths feature Johnson's Cleaners, M Grove Time Co, The Modern Cleaning Co, Chapline Auto Supplies, The Everedy Co, and many others.
Fashion notes describe new sport bracelets featuring three or four half-mneh strands of ay leather secured by gold or silver buckles. The sets are marketed as the latest accessory trend with decorative detailing.
The meghera of the Kiwanis Club publicly thank the Assistide and cooperation in staging Frederick's First Fashion and Business Show. Gratitude extends to the Maryland National Guard Major Munshower for Armory use and to many contributors including the News Test for support and advertisers for space and prizes.
