Albuquerque Sept. 24 PR Secretary of Agriculture Anderson told farmers price ceilings are sufficient to stimulate production amid reports some hold produce for higher prices. He warned consumers resent price rises and shortages while noting ceilings reflect new law aims to expand supply and keep prices reasonable.
Court notices list Kenneth R. Middleton and Virginia Pilkins marriage license details. Property deeds show numerous transfers including Edgar C Virts to Frank B Cover Jr and to Berkley Ford Phillips, William R Jones to Carl Eyler, and Elmer L Driver to Warren Turner among others. Fifty-two successful candidates were from Baltimore, with others from Frederick Hagerstown Westminster and Rockville. The piece notes total passenger seating capacity for U S trolley coaches street cars and buses at 7 640 000, up 80 000 from 1944.
