Eden for the elderly at Fort Lauderdale plans and prices
Gilbert P. Edwards, a 32-year-old Brooklyn-born engineer, launches Breakwater Beach a 16 million dollar senior housing project in Fort Lauderdale designed for security and social age peers. The complex includes an 11-story hotel, cooperatively owned apartments, shopping center, golf course, and surf club with monthly maintenance from under $60 to $120. The plan aims to repeat in other cities as the aging population grows.
