Black Man in SAC Outstanding Crew at Whiteman AFB
Lt. Dennis E. Black of Thurmont earns recognition as part of an Outstanding Crew in the Strategic Air Command unit at Whiteman AFB Missouri. He serves in the 508th Strategic Missile Squadron and was commissioned in 1969 after graduating Thurmont High School in 1965 and earning degrees from Hagerstown Junior College and Mount Saint Mary’s College. His wife Judy is daughter of Franklin L. Martin of Thurmont.
