Frederick High Band to Perform at White House Grounds
Frederick High School concert band chosen by National Park Service to perform a bicentennial program of American music from 1776 to 1880 in front of the White House grounds. The 115 member group will play on October 8 from 11 a.m. to noon as part of daily tours during the bicentennial celebration running October 7 through November 1.

Area youth electrocuted while installing antenna
Frederick County 17 year old Michael Edward Boone of Keymar was electrocuted Saturday when an antenna touched a high tension line on Md 194 near Ladiesburg. Boone and his brother in law Michael Fellows escaped the roof but Boone died after entering the house to escape. Police continue investigations and note the incident led to no further harm at the moment.
