Barnesville plans larger MARC station parking expansion
Montgomery County planning board approved adding spaces at the MARC station in Barnesville to serve higher ridership. The project seeks 30 more spaces by 2015 with a 178000 construction budget and environmental mitigations including preserving a large Tulip Poplar and adding shade trees. Community support came from Mayor Elizabeth Tolbert and state officials, noting safety and public transit benefits.
