VFW Auxiliary Holds September Meeting in Frederick
The Ladies' Auxiliary to John R Webb Post 3285 VFW met September 10 at the post home in Frederick with President Betty Baldowski presiding. Three new members Alice Harvey Ellen Anderson and Margaret Stanley were welcomed. Reports covered minutes treasurer and committee duties plus hospital visits to Martinsburg VA Center and a birthday card for Montevue residents. Members discussed dues notices health and happiness certificate and community service hours. The next meeting is 8 pm Monday October.

Foster care board seeks volunteers
The Frederick County Foster Care Review Board seeks volunteers to join as members or alternates. Appointed by the governor, volunteers review cases of children in foster care six months or more, advocate for permanent living arrangements, and train in a two day session.
