Louise Snodgrass favors a House chair, while Tim Ferguson argues tenure and service matter more. The Democratic central committee elected two LaRouche supporters, Helen Alexander and Mary Borawski, prompting concern from outgoing chair Blaine Young, though Tom Slater was chosen committee chair. Absentee ballots loom large in the Republican comptroller race between Timothy Mayberry and Larry Epstein, with Schaefer looming in fundraising and name recognition.
