Wine loving vintner aims for Great Frederick Fair honors
Libe rtytown resident Ross Benitez or his vineyard off Md 26 plans to enter two bottles of his award winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in the pomological department at the 136th county fair with 17 000 exhibits expected. He stresses careful vineyard care pruning spraying and sugar checks to harvest the grapes at peak sugar and then bottle the wine with his wife Sue, sharing the results with friends.
