Scientists seek source of bacterial contamination at Gunpowder Falls Park
State scientists plan a study of Gunpowder Falls State Park water to locate the source of fecal coliform bacteria that closed Hammerman Area Beach in early August. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation sued in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court seeking access to about 1,000 documents on Maryland's compliance with the 1972 Clean Water Act.
