Man Rescued After Four Days In Ditch
In Natchitoches Louisiana a 32 year old man Antono L Havard was found after four days trapped in a ditch filled with dirty water and fire ants following a car crash. His SUV plunged 25 to 30 feet below Interstate 49. He suffered two broken legs and ant bites but is described as in good condition considering the ordeal. Activists push for cruiser cameras in Prince George’s County
In the wake of 12 police shootings in 13 months and hundreds of complaints about use of force activists in Prince George’s County call for mandatory police car cameras and enhanced training. County Executive Wayne Curry is expected to announce a federal grant to add cameras to police vehicles next week. Proponents argue cameras will show what happens during encounters with citizens, though cost concerns persist. The push follows the Prince Jones fatal shooting by an undercover officer and the earlier death of Gary Hopkins after a dance at a West Lanham Hills hall, with authorities still weighing charges in the Jones case.
