Frederick County Planning Commission rejected NV Homes bid to annex about 493 acres near Atheaveham Road into Thurmont for an industrial warehousing and storage facility. The panel cited zoning and traffic concerns, noting access through Thurmont is inadequate and most nearby land remains agricultural. NV Homes plans to use 10 acres initially, with a long term view.
