Zoning Talk Targets Nudity Rules for Clubs

In an informal workshop the planning commission unanimously discussed nudity and obscenity rules. Catherine Parks noted restaurants with entertainment already restrict such conduct, but private clubs remain exempt. Executive planning items followed: Frederick County Board of Education plans October funding to move 40 employees from Church Street to Hayward Road, with costs between 300000 and 400000 and necessary renovations of about 150000. After vacating Church Street, the site may be reassigned to county or city use. Michael Williams urged the board to seek maximum effectiveness, saying subsidizing downtown lunches is not the commission's function.
