Hickory Run Manufacturing and Joseph E Thorp Lumber Co. lead a bustling modern scene with stave mills, lumber and forest operations supporting hundreds of workers. The town boasts electric lights, a two room school, and a community centered on Fraley’s store while hunting and trout fishing draw visitors.
