History of Urbana house linked to Civil War events and figures
The Urbana residence known as Tandon's House hosts a September benefit and recounts its Civil War history. Generals J. E. B. Stuart and Von Borcke used it as a headquarters during Lee's Maryland campaign, with later owners including the Lees and Kefauvers. A 1962 note ties the site to Stonewall Jackson's Maryland advance and local memories of regimental skirmishes.
