Lassa the capital of Tibet has been captured by Colonel Younghusband's British expedition. A birdseye view of Lassa is shown. Shanghai is the Chinese port where several Russian warships fled after the great fleet battle and resisted disarmament momentarily.
Atlanta reports a wave of white fear as bands called Before Day Clubs, linked to planned murders and arson, threaten farmers and communities in Georgia. An Athens cell is alleged to plot killing six citizens while lawmen move to dismantle the group.
Warren J Ferguson, 38, a theatrical advance agent, lies dying in New York Hospital from a gunshot after a quarrel at the Metropolitan Hotel. Mrs. Gertrude Roberts, using a false name, admits firing the shot claiming Ferguson tried to assault her. Ferguson says she shot herself. Porter Charles Hill witnessed tense exchange before the gunfire.
The Baltic fleet, led by Vice Admiral Rojestvensky, sets course for the Orient with battleships Souvaroff and Navarin among others. The fleet will touch Libau to join 12 transports then proceed, while the imperial yacht sails from Peterhof with the emperor aboard.

On a Delaware River pleasure trip from Philadelphia to Bristol, the steamer Columbia struck the launch carrying a party of Philadelphians near Andalusia, tearing the craft in half and causing multiple drownings. Four bodies were recovered, with others feared lost as passengers fought in darkness and heavy debris. Captain Campbell called the incident unavoidable.
Grave fears arise for William F. Robertson and family after they sailed from Bridgeport in a 38 foot naphtha launch toward Oyster Bay. A thunderstorm swept the sound with no trace of the boat found. search parties scoured the water but reports from Oyster Bay say no Robertson launch was seen there.
